An inspired vocation as the basis for a divine adventure.
”Maurice Beauregard, OMI - Life is wonderful…” is the latest book by Élise Chartrand-Déry,
released by Ortus Publications Inc., that
tells the story of a French Canadian man who followed his
heart in choosing to become an Oblate priest as his life’s
vocation. Inspired by a call to humanitarianism and ignited
by a determination to serve, his adventurous journey testifies
of his tenacity and of his profound faith.
Told in an easy-to-read story-telling format, this historical
biography follows the life of Maurice Beauregard, a young
novitiate leaving the comforts of an urban upbringing in Québec,
as he learns to face numerous linguistic, physical and spiritual
challenges during his ministry bringing him from Alberta,
all the way into the Arctic Circle.
After fifteen years of research and compilation of personal
accounts, the author has produced a 558 page book that reads
like a novel. Also released in French, under the title: “Maurice
Beauregard, o.m.i. - La vie est belle…”,
both manuscripts are available in select bookstores in Edmonton,
Calgary and Fort-McMurray; and is also available directly
from Ortus Publications Inc.
